June 16, my last day in Alaska
These pictures were taken on my last day when we were traveling to Anchorage so I could catch a commercial flight home. We got to Anchorage early so we had time to go through the air museum at Lake Hood. Cliff will be flying the plane back in early July with his son Jese.
I will write down our whole story in this blog in the future.
I would like to start by thanking our wives Karen and Ann, who everyone knows, it wouldn't have been possible without their support. It's not possible to thank everyone who helped us right now, but I will when I write the story.
Thank you for following my blog, and hope you stay tuned for the story.

Cliff with a fish on
On Tuesday morning June 15 we got up at 5am and went down to the Russian River Ferry and ferried across the river and fished red salmon. We had several fish on but never landed one. In the morning crossing the river it looked like a troop carrier with all the fishermen sitting down both sides of the ferry with there fishing pole between there legs. I would've taken a picture but it was misting out.

Russian River Ferry
This is the Kenai River but the Russian River is just arount the corner. The ferry is used to haul fishermen to the other side of the river where fishing is better. The steering wheel on the back of the ferry angles the ferry in one direction and the current of the river forces the ferry to the other side. No engines, just angle it one way or the other.

Lee and Denny
Saturday June 12 Cliff and I drove to Anchorage where I met his sister-in-law Janis, and her husband Lee, and Lee's brother Denny and they live next to each other. We caught them rebuiding a Cessna 185, they were so much fun to talk to and here all their stories. When we left they gave each of us a Alaska license plate
The picture is of Gary, Lee and Denny with the license plate.
